Welcome to my Nissan Pathfinder Project. In July 2013 I bought a used 2008 Nissan Pathfinder, LE V8, with 95K miles. Normally I wouldn't do a photo log on a used car project like this, but in this case I took 4 months searching for this vehicle, as I knew the exact Color, Trim, Engine, and Drivetrain I wanted. Needless to say it was not an easy search.
I also wanted to give a
shout-out to the guys over on the “
Nissan Pathfinder Owner's Forum” (
http://www.thenissanpath.com) and the “
Nissan Titan Forums” (
http://www.titantalk.com/). If you are in need of any information on your Pathfinder, this group has you covered. And the Titan group is a great place to get all the “Go Fast” modifications you need on the 5.6L V8 engine, as most Pathfinders are sold with the V6.
The 2008 model was the first Pathfinder Nissan offered with the massive 5.6L V8 engine. In my opinion the 2008 is the best looking Pathfinder as well. To the casual observer Nissan has made very little body changes to the Pathfinder until the 2013 model… but in 2013 they basically redesign the body. I think the new 2013 model looks like a cross between a Tennis Shoe & and a watermelon… ugly on all accounts.
The goal is to build a high horsepower, off-road capable, 4x4, that drives relatively comfortable, can tow the occasional mid-sized trailer, but gets decent enough MPG that it can be driven daily. From the start the V8, 4x4 Pathfinder fills most of that…. except for MPG. As anyone who ever owned a Nissan Truck or SUV knows, Nissan is not a friend of the gas pump. Having owned several V6 Nissans, I have been in love with their power for a long time. So far, I can say I’m loving the V8 version as well!
Gallery will be updated as I add to or modify my Pathy… Enjoy
